Description
A testis and cord; in the lower left-hand corner of the specimen, a rim of testicular tissue can be
seen; the testis is greatly enlarged by tumour which, in the lower part, is white and homogeneous,
with several pinkish areas while, in the upper part, there is a circumscribed haemorrhagic nodule
of a teratoma. The total specimen weighed 300g. The histology of the lesion is of a mixed
seminoma and teratoma; in the latter, there are areas of choriocarcinoma.
